After 9/11 and the start of the Global War on Terror, the US military grew to support Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Congress more than doubled defense spending and, through the use of contractors, enabled the Armed Forces to do even more. However, with the wind-downs in Iraq and Afghanistan and domestic budgetary pressures, defense spending and supply chains have been declining since 2010. As a result, contractors are struggling with a shrinking market and increased competition due to the overcapacity in the market.
LM+Co has helped companies, management teams and investors overcome industry headwinds and succeed in this currently difficult, yet vitally important market.
