Aaron is a C-level executive with over 20 years of management experience primarily focused on finance and operations. He possesses strong leadership skills and deep experience restructuring and turning around distressed companies and has served in multiple leadership roles, including General Manager with direct profit and loss responsibility, Interim Chief Financial Officer, Head of Operations and Human Resources, Chief Restructuring Officer (Operations) and Company Commander in the United States Army. He has significant experience serving in crisis management positions within companies facing operational and financial challenges and is well-versed at evaluating Executive Teams, working directly with Boards of Directors and managing and negotiating with diverse Lender Groups in workout situations with companies ranging in size from $50mm to $1 billion of annual revenue.
Aaron was recently the Deputy CRO of a $500M defense contractor where, as part of the executive team, he helped lead the operational restructuring of the business. He also served as the head of Finance and HR for Young Broadcasting, the Turnaround Management Association’s 2011 Turnaround of the Year.
His industry experience includes aerospace and government contracting, financial services, print media, retail, telecommunications, television + radio broadcasting and textiles.
Aaron earned a Master’s in Business Administration, with honors, in Finance and Corporate Accounting from the University of Rochester’s Simon School. He also earned a Master’s of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri at Rolla (Missouri School of Mines) and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Aaron is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and holds a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV). He is a former US Army officer and airborne ranger with combat tours in Somalia and Haiti.
